Insight

Modernising a legacy platform to meet the needs of today’s diverse, digital-first customers.

Projectorpoint are the UK’s leading specialist in projector sales, with over 50,000 units sold since 2001. As a mature tech company, their bespoke content management system had become inflexible and unscalable – making it difficult to remain agile in a fast-paced, mobile-first marketplace.

The challenge was to modernise their infrastructure, enhance customer journeys, and support different user needs – from home cinema shoppers to business buyers – while preserving their strong search presence and ecommerce performance.

Strategy

Our work began with a complete digital platform migration to Magento, which demanded careful handling of thousands of products and extensive technical specification data.

We performed deep SEO and competitor analysis to inform a new product categorisation model, designed to serve both organic visibility and user needs. From here, we reimagined the site architecture and UX, balancing high-conversion design with diverse user pathways.

Beyond the website, we developed a content strategy, launched a news subdomain, installed advanced call tracking, and supported PPC campaign planning – all geared towards commercial growth.

Making It Matter

After some poor experiences and being incredibly unimpressed with many digital marketing agencies and web designers, working with Matter was completely different. We worked in partnership to achieve commercial goals and developed measurable solutions that have developed our customer experience and enhanced sales processes.
