Launching a user-first brand to stand out in a product-driven market.

Pixel is a professional audio-visual consultancy focused on the modern workplace – solving the frustrations that plague everyday meetings: bad tech, broken systems, and wasted time.

The team behind Pixel were industry veterans launching a new brand into a crowded, commoditised market. The opportunity was clear – most manufacturers focus on product specs, not user experience. Pixel would do the opposite, with a brand that clearly communicated the benefits of AV technology in a relatable, real-world context.

Strategy

We started by exploring the modern meeting landscape – where a “room” often doesn’t exist, and content, users and context are spread across devices, platforms and locations. From here, we developed three core strategic pillars: context, content and users – which guided the entire brand and content approach.

We then mapped user needs across different environments and developed a product hierarchy to support solution-led thinking. The go-to-market strategy included brand naming, positioning, and a web specification that acted as a consultative guide without feeling like a configurator.

The result was a thoughtful, refined AV brand built to appeal to IT decision-makers and workplace experience leads – with a clear, user-centric story.

Making It Matter

It was great to work with Matter on, what started out as, an incredibly undefined brief. They understood the product, proposition and marketplace perfectly – which meant the whole process was so much easier for us. We felt they really added value, rather than needed instructing and hand-holding every step of the way.
