Insight

Optimising every touchpoint to boost engagement, streamline user journeys, and elevate campaign performance.

The Gold Bullion Company had a successful heritage in precious metals retail. But when they looked to enter the gold gift market – dominated by the Royal Mint – they needed a brand that could connect emotionally, stand out visually, and speak to a different kind of buyer.

Before we could build anything new, we had to understand the mindset of the gifter – their motivations, behaviours, and values. This meant combining quantitative data from over 2.1 million product interactions with psychological insight into the gift-giving experience.

Strategy

We analysed 183,750 product sales to 19,000+ customers and created a clear profile of the target buyer. Then we looked deeper – at attitudes, beliefs, gifting psychology, and emotional triggers. We benchmarked across sectors like keepsakes, luxury, and experience gifting to shape our brand approach.

The name “Master & Mint” was born from this research. It encapsulates authority and craftsmanship while being emotionally resonant and gender-neutral. Packaging and presentation were designed to heighten the experiential value of the gift – making the moment of giving as powerful as the product itself.

Delivery

Smarter design and sharper messaging drove a 143% increase in submissions and nearly doubled email click-throughs.
